Deconstruction of an Exhibition

We had to go to exhibition of our choice and deconstruct how the exhibition was done. In the deconstruction of the gallery of exhibition we had to look at layout, the attention to detail of how the work is presented, did the work made you think or simple enjoyment. I want to the Tate Modern to go and visit the “Unilever Series” by Miroslaw Balka exhibition which featured ‘The Dark Experiences” which was a big cargo container and it was pitch black inside, that plays with you sense and you walking in dark with no sense of direction or where the room would end.

I also went to take a look at the Material Gestures at The Tate Modern which is exhibition space which is located on the level 3 of the Tate. This west features post-war European and American painting and sculpture. The space was made up of 10 rooms. Room 1 Francis Bacon and Anish Kapoor Room 2 Material Gestures Room 3 Viennese Actionism Room 4 Expressionism Room 5 Distinguished Voices Room 6 Gerhard Richter Room 7 Victor Pasmore Room 8 Claude Monet and abstract Expressionism Room 9 Marlene Dumas Room 10 Paul McCarthy.

In this exhibition you are not allowed any photographs at all. So I had to take pictures with my phone secretly.

Ecobe Lifestyle Idea

The idea:

We have created a maze from the front door of the building. At the front of the building you will be faced with three-colored route and there are yellow, blue and red. The visitor can choose which route they would prefer. Each route will be different, but will end the end lead to the same exhibition. But the red route and the yellow route are the longest route while the blue is the quickest. The maze idea captures people’s imagination and plays with people’s curiosity to find out what is all about. In the exhibition it’s self will be posters that talking about consumerism leads to wastage and the importance of recycling and how easy the everyday recycling can make a big impact if every one does it.

The exhibition will try to change people general view of wastage in the home environment. We come up with a phase treat your environment has you would treat you home. The four walls will have a different approach to recycling. One wall will focus more on the consumerism aspect while the other will consecrate on the home aspect. We will also inform people that by you give away your old clothes or electrical away either to charity’s or companies that will send them to developing countries is a form of recycling. But above all ecobe is a lifestyle or chose of living to unsure the future generation can have a better environment by teaching them the importance of recycling tomorrow.

Target group:

Mainly Young people but should be enjoyed by anyone adults too. Ecology is theoretical subject and is usually presented in the form of written information. But because our main target group will be young people, we wanted this exhibition to be designed to give facts by leaving an impression on the mind of the viewer instead of the traditional informative way. We are designing it to be as text-less as possible, and the facts that will be displayed will be presented in a pictorial form with creative typography, word play and colour as means.

Aim:

1.To encourage recycling.

2.To raise the awareness about the importance of waste reduction.

3.To reach the audience in the most effective way.
